Removing a Linen From Your Credit 

Once you have received notice that the Linen is removed, whether it be through withdrawal or release, you then three credit agencies to ensure everyone has updated your credit report. Often the IRS will update the linen on your credit report on your behalf, but this is not always the case. 

If the agencies have not updated your credit report, dispute the linen. After you have contacted the credit agencies as created a dispute, these agencies will contact your local courthouse to verify the information. After, they will notify you of the status of your dispute stating whether or not the linen was removed. 

Tax Liens can ruin your credit score and tarnish it for years to come. Make sure that liens are removed from your credit report as soon as possible.
